Student engagement activities
within ECIU

Since 2021, ECIU University encourages their learners to engage in extra-curricular activities alongside the challenges. These activities aim at creating an important learners’ community where everyone can share their experiences to others and reflect with fellow ECIU learners on the project. In ECIU University, the student engagement can be materialized in several bodies and events that are at the disposal of the interested students.

The Student Agora

The Student Agora is the main student-centred event of ECIU University. The aim of the Student Agora is to gather all the learners of ECIU University in an event where they can meet and discuss with the other parts of the ECIU ecosystem: University Staff, Public and Private Partners and also ECIU Alumni. The discussions of the Student Agora will be chosen with both the learners and the university staff, following the needs of each.

The Student Agora also aims to disseminate the specificities of ECIU University, it is not only a discussion event but also a place where learners can discover and learn about all the activities of ECIU with experts coming to present and answer all your questions.

If you want to know more about the discussions of the last Student Agora, check out this link. Or contact Benjamin BETON, Student Engagement Manager:

The Students’ Representatives Meetings

ECIU University is also working closely with some of the students’ representatives of its member universities. The objectives of those meetings is to bring all the representatives together in order to share the best practices in terms of engagement from each university and to work to create a common student vision of ECIU University.

The representatives will carry this vision out to the other students during the Agoras as well as the project management team with the objective to advise on the opinions of the students regarding the evolution of the ECIU activities and their adaptability to the student community.

Exchange and Mobility

The ECIU Minor programme allow groups or individual learners to spend a semester at a likeminded ECIU partner university. Learners can choose their host university themselves, as each of the partners offers different courses and specialisations completely in English. The ECIU Minor programme is a fixed set of preapproved courses of 30 ECTS. They fit into the curriculum set of courses at the home institution. Credits will be fully recognised.
