About the International Summer Term

This summer, the UAB will once again organise its International Summer Term, which teaches undergraduate subjects in a range of different fields. Courses are taught 100% in English.

Depending on your home university’s regulations, especially if it has a mobility programme in place with the UAB, it may be possible to transfer credits obtained to your own degree programme.It is not necessary to submit academic supporting documents in order to enrol in the International Summer Term 2018 programme.Students from universities belonging to the YERUN Network or to the ECIU Consortium have 20% off the enrolment price. When these students arrive in Barcelona, they must present an academic transcript from their home university. If they do not present it, they will have to pay the full price for the enrolment.

Structure

The International Summer Term courses are full-time, intensive programmes consisting of 60 hours over the three-week period.

Students spend the day on campus. Lectures take place in the mornings (9 a.m.–1 p.m.). In addition, students are recommended to spend between two and three hours per day on self-guided study. 

Requirements

Visa: The nationals from countries that are listed in the section I of the list  must process the visa for stays up to three months in Spain. To obtain this visa before the beginning of the course, it is recommended to start the application two months beforehand  the course starts at the Spain consulate office  corresponding by address. 

Medical insurance: All foreign students studying at a Catalan university must be covered by medical insurance. The formalities to obtain the medical insurance vary in accordance with the country of origin.
