Urban Public Space

The curricular unit of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) aims to stimulate students to permanently pursue innovative forms of transforming raw materials into new products, applying conventional processes, or the most recent and cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs. The course placed particular focus on the advanced processing and characterization of thermoplastics, and on micro and nanofabrication processes, as well as the characterization of these materials and products. Design for X requirements, manufacturing economic costs, and environmental impacts of the different production options are stressed.

This micro-module is challenge-based and organized partially online. Available in English and in Portuguese.
