Bullies, Bullied and Bystanders Conference

Staff Event

Dublin City University

June 9, 2016

Advancing Knowledge, Understanding and Practice in Education

The conference will be held on the 9th and 10th of June and will be attended by leading academics in the fields of bullying, aggression, conflict and mediation from all over the world.

Over 100 experts on bullying will speak at the conference. The conference is being held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first European Seminar on Bullying which was held in Norway in 1986 and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Anti-Bullying Centre (ABC).

The conference is being jointly hosted by the Anti-Bullying Centre at DCU with our strategic partners at the Norwegian Centre for Learning Environment and Behavioural Research in Education at the University of Stavanger.

The aim of the conference is to provide an interface in which international scholars and practitioners can consider how best to prevent and counteract bullying in all its forms.

From both theoretical and empirical perspectives, contributors will consider the influence of culture and ethnic differences in societal attitudes and values about bullying.

The full schedule of papers and workshops is now available with details for registration on their website.

There is just one week left to avail of the Early Registration (€295) for our upcoming two day conference on bullying at Dublin City University.
