The ECIU is an opportunity for you to either link up with existing activities or to use the
framework to establish new activities.
Local-coordinators have been appointed at each institution and they can assist e.g. in
locating interesting research parties within the other member institutions, and can provide
you with detailed information on the various activities of the ECIU. Local-coordinators and
the Central Secretariat know of the lessons learned in previous projects and other activities
and can act as a valuable source of knowledge for you, if you are considering to do joint
activities with colleagues at the other ECIU institutions.
Regarding existing activities covering all or most ECIU members, the ECIU Board has decided
to focus on three main areas: ECIU Graduate School (link), Improved Student and Staff Mobility
(link) and University-Industry Interaction (link). ECIU activities are organised as either
projects or thematic working groups and most activities relate to the three foci.
