The ECIU has adopted a Staff Development Programme, which is aiming at increasing the mobility among administrative members of staff. The programme sets up mechanisms that will hopefully make it easier for staff to spend time at one of the other ECIU institutions.
Aalborg University is in charge of promoting the programme and the ECIU Local Coordinator at Aalborg, Mrs Lise Thorup-Pedersen, will forward further information to staff that are interested in further exploring the opportunities for going on a shorter or longer visit to another ECIU member or associate partner:

Staff mobility is also enhanced by the Leadership Development Programme, which was launched in September 2003. Seventeen participants from both academic and administrative work areas took part in the first pilot programme. Sixteen participants took part in the second programme that ended in summr 2005. Work is currently going on to revise the programme slightly, so that it will be easier for mor institutions to take part. The objective of the programme is to establish a cohort of individuals who understand the European dimension of higher Education, are appreciative of the innovative culture in the partner universities, and will form a self-reinforcing network of knowledgeable individuals who will maintain and grow the entrepreneurial spirit of the participating universities. An important part of the development will be assignments conducted by multi-university groups to address emerging issues within a European context.
