The ECIU is a Consortium of Innovative Universities, all characterised by a close interaction with industry and institutions in their surroundings, and all with strengths in engineering and social sciences.

University Industry Interaction is a main focus for the Consortium and it aims at facilitating activities within this area e.g. developing activities within entrepreneurship, doing joint research projects on innovation and the like.
